Research

I’m an environmental scientist. With that I mean that I base my science on environmental issues with high societal values, rather than on traditional scientific disciplines. As a result I try to mix research tools from various research fields such as physical geography, paleolimnology, soil science and ecology. So far my research has been focusing on the fate of contaminants in the environment, impacts on climate change on the carbon cycling in arctic soils, weathering and its role for sustainable forestry and impact from pharmaceutical on biota. It might appear as mess but I probably have one of the most stimulating jobs in the world.
