Research
My research interests include sustainable uses of natural resources and climate change effects on vegetation. I specifically work with multiple use forests, where reindeer husbandry, timber production and conservation of biodiversity are important components. Some of my recent projects include long-term effects of forestry on reindeer grazing grounds, vulnerability analyses of multiple use forests under a changing climate, and the use of remote sensing for estimating ground lichen cover in boreal forests. I am also interested in vegetation changes in arctic/alpine areas, where i focus on treeline dynamics, reindeer grazing and vegetation monitoring.
