International students

The department offers two Masters programs taught in English that are suitable for international students. The Doctoral (PhD) research program is also suitable for qualified international students and open positions within the Department of Ecology and Environmental Sciences can be found on the central University website. International students applying for studies at the EMG department should read the information provided by the International office and the page for New students.

Programmes and Courses

The Department offers two Masters programmes taught in English. These programs are Ecology and Geoecology. The department welcomes applications from international students for these programs. Masters programs are two years in length and can consist of both taught courses, laboratory work and individual project work.

Doctoral (PhD) research

The Department of Ecology and Environmental Science has about 50 PhD students carrying out cutting edge research in ecology, physical geography and environmental science. PhD students are selected on qualifications and the department encourage applications from qualified international students for open positions.
